Privacy notice

Your training data stays private.

Last updated July 23, 2026. This notice explains what the VA Training Simulator collects, why it is collected, and how it is protected.

Information we collect

When you join the waitlist, we collect your name, email address, selected interests, experience level, and optional written responses. When learner accounts are enabled, the authentication provider will process your sign-in details and session information.

Training progress is currently stored in your browser. Security controls may temporarily process a one-way hash of your IP address to prevent automated abuse; the raw address is not stored by the app.

How we use it

We use this information to provide training access, remember progress, improve future simulator tracks, respond to waitlist interest, prevent abuse, and maintain the security of the service. We do not sell learner information or display responses publicly.

Service providers

The application is hosted by Vercel. Waitlist records are stored in Neon Postgres. Authentication will be provided by Clerk once learner accounts are enabled. These providers process information only to operate the service under their respective privacy and security terms.

Retention and control

Waitlist records are retained while the early-access program is active or until they are no longer needed. Expired abuse-prevention records are removed automatically. You may clear browser-based progress at any time using your browser settings.

To request access, correction, or deletion, contact the organization or trainer that provided your link to this simulator. Requests will be handled after the requester's identity is confirmed.

Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Database credentials remain on the server, and application endpoints use validation, rate limiting, encrypted connections, and platform-level traffic protection. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
